New Characters in Slay the Spire 2

Slay the Spire 2 expands the roster with returning favorites and brand-new characters. Each character has a completely unique card pool, starting relic, and playstyle. The five playable characters — Ironclad, Silent, Defect, Regent, and Necrobinder — each bring distinct resource systems and mechanics that fundamentally change how you approach the Spire. Check out our Characters page for detailed breakdowns.

Multiplayer Co-op

One of the biggest additions is the multiplayer co-op mode. Team up with a friend to climb the Spire together, coordinating builds and strategies for the best chance of success. Both players share a single map but maintain independent decks, relics, and gold — creating fascinating coordination challenges.

Expanded Card Pool

Every character has a deeper card pool with more synergies and build paths. Hundreds of new cards introduce fresh keywords, combos, and interactions that reward creative deck-building. Browse our Card Database to explore all available cards.

New Relics

Dozens of new relics add another layer of strategy. Some relics fundamentally change how you play, enabling entirely new build archetypes. The revamped relic system includes transformation and combination mechanics. See our Relic Database for the complete list.

New Enemies

New Bosses, Elites, and normal enemies challenge players with fresh mechanics and patterns. Multi-phase boss fights and unique encounter designs keep every run feeling different. Our Enemy Guide covers every encounter.

  • Deeper Strategy — More meaningful choices at every decision point
  • Better Balance — Refined difficulty scaling across all Ascension levels
