Strategy Guide

Overview

Poison is the Silent's premiere scaling mechanic. Each turn, enemies lose HP equal to their Poison stacks, then Poison decreases by 1. Noxious Fumes applies Poison passively every turn, Deadly Poison applies a burst of stacks, and Catalyst multiplies existing Poison. The strategy is simple: apply Poison, defend, and wait. Against bosses, Catalyst turns 20 Poison into 60 in one card play.

1

Act 1 — Early Game

Deadly Poison and Poisoned Stab are your bread and butter in Act 1. Noxious Fumes is the #1 priority pickup — it provides passive damage that scales in every long fight. Backflip and Deflect keep you alive while Poison works. Don't take too many Poison cards early; 2-3 sources are sufficient. Focus on defense cards like Leg Sweep and Dodge and Roll. Neutralize from your starting deck applies Weak, which is great.

2

Act 2 — Mid Game

Act 2 is where Poison truly shines. Bouncing Flask applies Poison to all enemies, solving the multi-enemy problem. Look for Catalyst — this card alone can end boss fights by tripling Poison stacks. Burst doubles the effect of your next Skill, so Burst + Catalyst = 6x Poison multiplication. Corpse Explosion (if available as colorless) turns Poison kills into AoE damage. Footwork for better Block generation.

3

Act 3 — Late Game

Against Act 3 bosses, the game plan is: Noxious Fumes → stack Poison → Catalyst for lethal. With Burst + Catalyst, you can go from 15 Poison to 135 in a single turn. Wraith Form provides near-invincibility for 3 turns — use it when you've applied enough Poison and need to survive until it kills. Malaise removes enemy Strength and applies Weak. Adrenaline provides emergency Energy and draw.

Card Acquisition Priority

Muss gewählt werden
Noxious Fumes

Passive 2 Poison per turn (3 upgraded) to ALL enemies. The foundation of every Poison build.

Muss gewählt werden
Burst

Play your next Skill twice. Burst + Catalyst = 6x Poison. Burst + Bouncing Flask = double AoE Poison.

Muss gewählt werden
Deadly Poison

Apply 5 Poison (7 upgraded) for 1 Energy. Most efficient single-target Poison applicator.

Hoch
Bouncing Flask

Apply 3 Poison to a random enemy 3 times. Solves the AoE problem and stacks fast.

Hoch
Footwork

Gain 2 Dexterity (3 upgraded). Makes every Block card more efficient while Poison works.

Hoch
Backflip

5 Block + draw 2 cards. Excellent defense that also digs for Catalyst.

Mittel
Leg Sweep

Apply 2 Weak + 11 Block. Survivability card that buys time for Poison.

Mittel
Malaise

Spend all Energy to apply that much Weak and remove that much Strength. Boss killer.

Flex / Alternative Cards

When core cards aren't available, these alternatives keep the build functional.

Relic Priority

Best Relics
Schlangenring
Schlangenring

Silent's starter relic. Draw 2 extra cards turn 1 to find key Poison pieces fast.

Snecko-Schädel
Snecko-Schädel

Gain 1 Poison on enemies when you apply Poison. Amplifies every Poison source in the deck.

Specimen

When a Poisoned enemy dies, transfer their Poison to a random enemy. Incredible in multi-fights.

Good Relics
Tasche der Vorbereitung
Tasche der Vorbereitung

Draw 2 extra cards at start of combat. More chances to find Noxious Fumes and Catalyst early.

Kunai
Kunai

Gain 1 Dexterity every 3 attacks. Better Block generation while Poison does the work.

Wolframstab
Wolframstab

Reduce HP loss by 1. Helpful when enemies chip through your defense while waiting for Poison to kill.

Avoid
Stein der Weisen
Stein der Weisen

+1 Energy is nice but +1 Strength to enemies means they hit harder while you wait for Poison.

Ektoplasma
Ektoplasma

Can't gain Gold. Gold is important for Silent to buy key cards and relics from shops.

Mark of Pain

Wounds added to draw pile dilute your deck, making it harder to draw Catalyst and key pieces.

Boss Strategy Tips

Guardian

Noxious Fumes ticks during Guardian's defensive mode. Stack Poison early, then focus on blocking during attack phases. Catalyst when Poison is 15+ for a fast kill.

Hexaghost

Apply Poison turns 1-2, block the big Inferno hit, then Catalyst. Noxious Fumes alone can carry if you survive the initial burst. Leg Sweep or Malaise on the Inferno turn.

Slime Boss

Poison is incredible here. Stack 30+ Poison before pushing past 50% HP. When the slime splits, both halves inherit the Poison and die quickly. Bouncing Flask helps after the split.

Time Eater

Poison is one of the best answers to Time Eater. Apply Noxious Fumes and Poison sources, then play few cards per turn to avoid the 12-card punishment. Poison ticks regardless of card count.

Collector

Noxious Fumes damages ALL enemies including summoned minions. Focus Poison on the Collector directly. Bouncing Flask randomly hits minions and boss. Catalyst the boss when Poison is high.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much Poison do I need to kill a boss?

Most Act 3 bosses have 300-500 HP. Poison damage is cumulative (n + n-1 + n-2 + ...), so 30 Poison stacks deals about 465 total damage over time. With Catalyst, getting to 30+ is easy.

Should I take Envenom?

Envenom adds 1 Poison per attack hit. It's decent in hybrid builds but too slow for pure Poison. Stick to dedicated Poison cards unless you also have many Shiv-generating cards.

Catalyst vs Corpse Explosion — which is better?

Catalyst is better for single targets (bosses). Corpse Explosion is better for multi-enemy fights where killing one Poisoned enemy deals AoE. Ideally, run both.

Is one copy of Catalyst enough?

Yes, especially with Burst. Burst + Catalyst triples your Poison twice (effectively 9x). Drawing Catalyst once per fight is sufficient if your base Poison application is strong.

How do I handle enemies immune to Poison?

Very few enemies are Poison-immune. For Artifact-bearing enemies, use Bouncing Flask to strip Artifact charges first, then apply Poison. Keep a few direct damage cards as backup.
