Strategy Guide

Overview

Reaper Form is a Power that grants lifesteal and bonus attack damage. The Scythe deals massive AoE damage. Eradicate provides heavy single-target removal. Lethality adds Strength that amplifies all subsequent attacks. The build plays like a combat berserker: activate Reaper Form for lifesteal, stack Lethality for Strength, then unleash The Scythe and Eradicate for devastating damage that also heals you. Osty serves as a tank while you set up, absorbing hits during the first 1-2 turns.

1

Act 1 — Early Game

Blight Strike and Scourge provide early damage while applying Doom as a side effect. Snap and Poke are cheap damage cards for hallway fights. Flatten and Pull Aggro keep Osty alive as your tank. Lethality is an excellent Act 1 find — it provides immediate Strength for all attacks. Grave Warden gives Block while generating Souls for supplementary draw. Don't skip Block cards entirely; you need to survive until Reaper Form comes online.

2

Act 2 — Mid Game

Reaper Form is the mid-game priority. Once active, every attack heals you for a portion of damage dealt. The Scythe becomes the primary AoE: it deals high damage to all enemies with lifesteal recovering significant HP. Eradicate handles elites and tanky enemies with massive single-target damage. Death March provides scaling damage based on cards drawn — Souls from Grave Warden and Capture Spirit boost this naturally. Spur and Sic 'Em keep Osty aggressive.

3

Act 3 — Late Game

With Reaper Form + Lethality active: Strength-boosted Scythe deals AoE damage and heals for each enemy hit. Against groups, one Scythe can heal 15-20+ HP. Eradicate with Strength one-shots most non-boss enemies. Necro Mastery enhances all attacks further. Against bosses: use Osty as a damage sponge for 2-3 turns while activating Reaper Form and stacking Lethality. Then attack relentlessly — each hit heals you, creating a self-sustaining combat loop.

Flex / Alternative Cards

When core cards aren't available, these alternatives keep the build functional.

+1 Strength to enemies while you spend turns setting up Reaper Form. Too dangerous.

Samthalsband

Attack-heavy turns with Souls for draw may exceed 6 plays.

Runic Dome

Boss Strategy Tips

Guardian

Let Osty tank Guardian's attacks turn 1-2 while setting up Reaper Form and Lethality. The Scythe with lifesteal heals back any chip damage. Guardian's defensive mode gives you free setup time.

Hexaghost

Block Inferno with Grave Warden and standard Block. After surviving, Reaper Form + Lethality makes The Scythe deal devastating damage while healing. Aggression wins the race.

Slime Boss

The Scythe AoE handles the split perfectly. Stack Strength before 50%, then AoE both halves. Reaper Form lifesteal recovers HP from hitting multiple targets.

Collector

The Scythe hits Collector + minions simultaneously. Lifesteal from hitting 3 targets at once heals massively. Lethality Strength makes each AoE sweep devastating. Don't bother targeting minions individually.

Time Eater

High-damage single attacks (Eradicate, The Scythe) fit under the card limit. Each attack is worth 2-3 weaker plays. Reaper Form lifesteal keeps HP healthy during the restricted play pattern.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reaper build vs Soul build — what's the difference?

Soul build focuses on card draw engines and passive damage from Haunt/Soul Storm. Reaper build is pure combat aggression with lifesteal. Soul is more consistent; Reaper has higher immediate damage. Soul for long fights, Reaper for fast kills.

Can I mix Reaper with Doom?

Yes! Doom softens enemies while you set up Reaper Form. Blight Strike applies Doom while dealing direct damage. The Scythe can finish enemies that Doom has weakened. It's a natural hybrid.

How important is Osty for this build?

Osty is your turn 1-2 damage sponge. Keep Osty alive with Flatten and Pull Aggro during setup. Once Reaper Form is active, Osty becomes less critical as lifesteal handles your HP. Don't over-invest in Osty cards.

Is lifesteal from Reaper Form enough to sustain?

Against groups, yes — hitting 3 enemies with The Scythe heals significantly. Against single bosses, supplement with Block cards and Osty tanking. Lifesteal alone won't keep you alive against 40+ damage boss attacks.

What if I don't find Reaper Form?

The attack cards (The Scythe, Eradicate, Lethality) still work without Reaper Form — they're just good attacks. Without lifesteal, lean more on Osty tanking and Block cards. Consider pivoting toward Doom or Soul if Reaper Form doesn't appear by Act 2.
