Tablet of Truth

You defeated two Kin guardians and entered the treasure vault they were guarding. Inside lies a stone tablet inscribed with familiar runes. Your instinct tells you the language can be easily deciphered… but once you start, you must devote your full attention. The tablet radiates a soothing energy. You could also just smash it to absorb its healing power.

As you begin deciphering the tablet, the Kin's mantra echoes in your mind. "Truth is everything…"

You've been reading for a while now and feel a bit dizzy! Heroes really shouldn't read for this long…

You can barely keep reading… The tablet is nearly deciphered. Within the mantra, there is truth… Truth!! What IS the truth!?

In a daze, you decipher the remaining text, casting aside your mind and body. The pursuit of truth is the only thing that matters. Is it really? There's one final word left… The cost of understanding it will be everything.

You exhaust everything trying to decipher the last word, then lose consciousness… When you awaken, you find a single word carved into the floor. "Air"

You stop reading and deciphering. Your body returns to normal, but you remain intensely curious: what is the truth?
