Strategy Guide

Overview

Doom is a unique debuff: when an enemy's Doom stacks equal or exceed their current HP, they die at the end of their next turn. Unlike Poison or direct damage, Doom bypasses Block, Plated Armor, and defensive buffs entirely. Capture Spirit and Countdown are your primary Doom applicators. Danse Macabre turns every Soul generated into passive Doom on ALL enemies. The strategy is simple: apply Doom, survive, and let inevitability do the rest.

1

Act 1 — Early Game

Grave Warden is the #1 priority — it generates Block AND Souls, which power the entire build. Capture Spirit applies Doom while generating Souls. Defile provides early damage + Doom application. Blight Strike is a common attack with Doom. Focus on Soul generation in Act 1 — Souls fuel card draw and Doom synergies. Let Osty tank hits while you set up Doom sources. Don't neglect Block cards entirely.

2

Act 2 — Mid Game

Countdown is the mid-game powerhouse — it applies Doom passively each turn without spending cards. Danse Macabre turns every Soul generated into 1 Doom on all enemies, creating a passive Doom engine. Pagestorm provides additional Soul-to-effect conversion. Haunt applies Doom to all enemies whenever you generate Souls. The Soul + Doom synergy becomes self-sustaining: Souls → Doom → more Souls from kills → more Doom.

3

Act 3 — Late Game

Against Act 3 bosses with 400+ HP, you need concentrated Doom application. Capture Spirit + Countdown + Danse Macabre can apply 10-15 Doom per turn. With Osty tanking, you focus entirely on Doom stacking. Time's Up is a powerful finisher — it instantly kills an enemy with any amount of Doom. End of Days is the ultimate setup for a Doom kill. Mix Doom and Osty Summon for dual threat against bosses.

Card Acquisition Priority

必須ピック
Capture Spirit

Apply Doom + generate Souls. The core Doom card that does everything the build needs.

必須ピック
Countdown

Power that applies Doom passively each turn. Set-and-forget Doom generation.

必須ピック
Danse Macabre

Every Soul generated applies 1 Doom to all enemies. Turns Soul engine into Doom engine.

必須ピック
Grave Warden

Best common card. Block + Souls. The backbone of both defense and Soul generation.

Reave

Deal damage + generate Souls. Efficient Soul generation that also provides immediate offense.

Bodyguard

Starting deck Summon. Keeps Osty alive to tank while you stack Doom.

Defile

Attack that applies Doom. Decent early-game Doom source with damage.

Defy

Block card that synergizes with the Necrobinder's mechanics. Solid defense.

Flex / Alternative Cards

When core cards aren't available, these alternatives keep the build functional.

Relic Priority

Best Relics
封じられし霊箱
封じられし霊箱

Necrobinder's starter relic. Osty absorbs damage while you focus on applying Doom.

バックパック
バックパック

Draw 2 extra cards turn 1. Find Doom applicators and Soul generators quickly.

イカリ
イカリ

Start with 10 Block. Critical at 66 HP — buys time for Doom to accumulate.

Good Relics
ミイラの手
ミイラの手

Powers cost 0 after playing a Power. Countdown and Danse Macabre set up faster.

タングステンの棒
タングステンの棒

Reduce HP loss by 1. Every point matters at 66 base HP.

骨付き肉
骨付き肉

Heal 12 HP when below 50%. Essential survival for the Necrobinder's low HP pool.

Avoid
賢者の石
賢者の石

Enemies gain +1 Strength. At 66 HP, you can't afford enemies hitting harder while waiting for Doom.

Mark of Pain

Wounds in draw pile dilute the deck. Harder to find Doom applicators and Soul generators.

Cursed Key

Curses dilute the deck just like Wounds. Doom build needs consistency above all.

Boss Strategy Tips

Guardian

Apply Doom steadily throughout the fight. Guardian has moderate HP, so 20-30 Doom stacks end the fight. Use Osty to absorb attacks during the offense phase. Countdown provides passive Doom even during shield mode.

Hexaghost

Survive the Inferno turn with Osty + Block. After that, steadily apply Doom. Hexaghost's HP is within reach of the Doom kill by turn 6-8 with Countdown + Danse Macabre running.

Slime Boss

Doom is incredible here. Apply Doom to the main slime — when it splits, Doom may carry to the halves. Even if not, the halves have low enough HP for quick Doom kills.

Time Eater

Doom build plays fewer cards per turn once Powers are set up. Countdown and Danse Macabre apply Doom passively. Play 3-4 cards per turn to stay under the limit while Doom climbs.

Collector

Danse Macabre + Soul generation applies Doom to ALL enemies including summoned minions. Doom kills minions quickly (low HP), and the Collector accumulates Doom for the final kill.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Doom interact with enemy healing?

Doom checks against current HP. If an enemy heals, they might rise above their Doom stacks, preventing the kill. Apply Doom faster than enemies can heal. Most enemies don't heal, making this a non-issue in practice.

Does Doom work on all enemies?

Doom works on virtually all enemies, including bosses. Some enemies may have Artifact (blocks debuffs), but Doom stacks bypass this after Artifact charges are removed. No enemy is Doom-immune.

Doom vs Osty build — which is better?

Osty build is more consistent and forgiving — Osty tanks damage while you build. Doom build is faster at killing but more vulnerable during setup. Combine both for maximum effectiveness. They share Soul generation synergies.

Why does the enemy get one more turn after Doom kills?

Doom kills at the END of the enemy's turn, meaning they get one final action. Keep Block high even when Doom is lethal. This is the most common way Doom builds lose — letting guard down on the kill turn.

Can I combine Doom and Osty strategies?

Absolutely, and this is recommended. Osty provides defense while Doom provides offense. Grave Warden, Invoke, and Soul generation cards serve both strategies. The hybrid is often stronger than either pure approach.
